Promoting The Power Of The Sword

Promoting The Power Of The Sword

by Russell D. Longcore

Secessionist movements are found in many states. But with the exception of the groups in the state of Texas, most groups are not getting much traction with the populace. Organizations such as Freedom Texas, The Republic of Texas and The Texas Nationalist Movement have been very successful in promoting Texas statehood, and are well known for their effectiveness. But petition drives, printed flyers and radio spots may not be the best way to promote secession.

Today, I would like to offer an idea to help ALL the secessionist organizations promote state secession as well as to promote The Power of the Sword.

As I wrote in Secession and the Power of the Sword 2015, openly promoting militias during the death throes of the United States government in Washington DC could be considered domestic terrorism. But the states need to begin training militias NOW.

How might that be done in a low-key way?

What is the one common denominator of militias? At its most fundamental level, self defense relies upon firearms. At its most fundamental level, the militia relies upon every militia member being trained to be a rifleman. Look at what Switzerland has done with their militias. Citizens keep battle rifles at their homes, and are required to be qualified rifleman.

I recommend that each secessionist movement take upon itself the holy calling of training people in the use of firearms.
~ Sponsor pistol and rifle shooting events far and wide.
~ Become sponsors of shooting events that are being held by groups such as the National Rifle Association and the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
~ Work with every gun shop and sporting goods retailer in the state that sells firearms and supplies. ~ Make sure you are a sponsor…not just an exhibitor…at every gun show that happens in your state.
~ Sponsor firearm training classes at very indoor and outdoor shooting range in your state. Pay the fee for people that want to take the class but cannot afford the fee.

Then, at every event, talk about state secession.

People talk to their friends about their experiences, both enjoyable and not. Make the use of firearms enjoyable and people will talk. Now, they have both a good memory and a good new idea. You now have a new friend of firearms and possibly a new friend of the ideas of militia and secession.

And you have added all those names and addresses to your database.

Between now and the collapse of DC, the secessionist movements of America can make tremendous inroads with the people who will be most directly affected by that very collapse.

Don’t wait another day, Secessionists. Find a gun shop, a gun show, or shooting organization and get DEEPLY INVOLVED. Control your own destiny. Get moving.

You don’t need guns to force a change in government and you don’t need economic collapse to inspire a movement (although it wouldn’t hurt the cause). Ghandi proved it could be done and he proved it in the face of the most powerful gun toting Empire of his time.

Guns are perceived as a threat in America (despite our paradoxical love of them) and in a peaceful transition of government the threat aspect must be focused upon the Federal bad guys, not the ones instigating change. The problem with peaceful transition, however, is that it requires inspired leadership and devoted followers numbering millions. Unfortunately the secessionist movement in America has neither. Until we decide as a people to shed the chains of Big Brother, we will have to suck it up and learn how to live in an increasingly repressive fascist police state.

Federal leadership knows how to keep its citizen slaves docile. With our eyes on the ground, confused by empty rhetoric about liberty and hypnotized by bread and circuses we fail to understand that there is a power within each of us more powerful than bullets. It is the word NO.

and that’s me, hollering from the choir loft…
