Is it OK To Be A Racist?

Our educational, political and religious leaders tell us that we should desire racial equality. Unfortunately, the term “racial equality” has no operational definition widely agreed upon. Consequently, the term ends up being a connotation word…one of those words or phrases that sparks an emotional response in people, but is devoid of meaning. The term is also a useful tool for the manipulation of public sentiment. For some, racial equality means equality of opportunity. For others, it means equality of outcome.

Is it reasonable to desire racial equality? What does it really mean? And if you do not acknowledge or desire racial equality, does that make you a racist? And is it a bad thing to be a racist?

In the early 21st Century, it seems that one of the worst things you can be accused of is being a racist. And racism in America is usually reserved for what white folks think of black folks. Seldom do I ever hear of the word “racism” being used between whites and any other groups such as Hispanics, Asians or Indians (from India). And I’m told by race demagogues that it is impossible for a black person to be a racist, which is patently false.

Let’s take a minute and consider what race means today…not what everybody tells you it means, but what it REALLY means. Then we’ll draw some conclusions.

The Encyclopaedia Brittania Online defines “Race” as classifications of humans into relatively large and distinct populations or groups often based on factors such as appearance based on (in)heritable…characteristics or geographic ancestry, but also often influenced by and correlated with traits such as culture, ethnicity and socio-economic status. As a biological term, race denotes genetically divergent human populations that can be marked by common…traits{1}.

Now let’s get an operational definition of the word “racist.” The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines it thus: “a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.”

So, if I understand correctly, the mere belief that any race is superior to another constitutes racism. It doesn’t mean that you don’t like members of another race for any reason or no reason. It means you believe that one race is superior to another.

I submit to you that most of the people of the world have never studied qualitative racial differences to determine if true differences exist between races. Most of the time, those that use the word “racist” are actually accusing others of being racially prejudiced or bigoted. I’ll prove my premise by offering the dictionary definitions of “prejudice” and “bigot.”

prejudicean adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge; an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics.

bigota person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.

So it is possible that a person could hold an adverse opinion without hostility based upon sufficient knowledge, and that the opinion might look like prejudice but would not actually be so. The adverse opinion based in fact would simply be good judgment.

And it is also possible for a person to be obstinately devoted to his opinions without prejudice, provided that his opinions are based in fact and not expressed with hatred or intolerance.

So it is possible that a person could be a racist, believing in the superiority of one race over another, without being prejudiced or bigoted. But in order to achieve that status, one must determine how races compare to one another, and some yardstick must be used to measure the differences.

How could that happen?

I discovered the anthropological statistics website of Lagriffe Du Lion about ten years ago. LDL has done exhaustive research into the qualitative differences between human races, and their findings are posted at this website. I strongly recommend that each DumpDC devotee spend some time at Lagriffe Du Lion reading the articles. You’ll be stunned at what you learn.

They have proven that there is actually a measurable difference between the races. That is, when the differences are measured as Intelligence Quotient (IQ) data. The IQ test was invented by Alfred Binet in 1905. So data on human intelligence worldwide has been accumulated and studied now for over 105 years. That worldwide data shows that some races are in fact superior to others.

The mean (average) IQ for all humans is set at 100, and the standard statistical deviation (SD) is 15 points. Non-Hispanic Whites (Europeans) are ranked at the mean IQ of 100. Hispanics have a mean score at about 95 IQ points, 1/3 SD lower than the mean. Blacks have a mean score of 85, one SD lower than the mean IQ of 100. East Asians’ average IQ is about 1/3 SD, or about 5 points higher than that of Europeans. Ashkenazic Jews have an average IQ of 115, or 1 SD higher than the mean.

So, a graph of racial groups would look like this:

Blacks………Hispanics…Whites……….Asians……………..A. Jews

Now consider this: The mean is the statistical average. At any place along the graph, the mean is the pinnacle of a bell curve, which indicates that about 50% are below the mean and about 50% are above it. Let’s take non-Hispanic whites as an example since they represent the mean. The base of the bell curve could be two statistical deviations in either direction and likely more. So, at the left tail of the bell curve, IQs could be found around 70 or lower. At the right tail of the bell curve, IQs could be found around 130 or higher. Mental retardation is found at the left tail, and genius is found at the right tail.{2} Now consider each other race’s position on the graph of averages. Higher averages mean less unintelligent people at the left end of the bell curve and more exceptional IQs on the right. Lower averages mean more unintelligent people at the left end of the bell curve, and less exceptional IQs on the right.

Therefore, if you acknowledge that any race is superior to any other…as a group, not as any individual…you are by definition a racist. But that does not mean you are prejudiced, and it does not mean that you are a bigot. It may simply mean that you acknowledge the fact that certain races are smarter than other races, determined by a century of the study of human intellect. IQ scores are not the only measure of racial superiority or inferiority, but are simply the most universal, most verifiable and most studied of all fields.

The truth is that there will never be racial equality. There is only one true equality on earth for human beings. Each human being born on this planet has an equal amount of minutes in each day with all other humans. Many lives are cut short due to disease, malnutrition, violence and accidents. But for the days in which each person occupies a place in this world, we are all equal in the amount of time we have at our disposal. What we do with our time is the most unequal characteristic of all.

So, in conclusion, I assert that it is not a bad thing to be a racist if your racism is based in scientifically verifiable data. Otherwise, your attitudes are prejudiced and bigoted.
