Debra Medina Shines in Texas Governor’s Race

Debra Medina, candidate for Governor of Texas, is kicking ass and taking names in debates this political season.

In Part One, Medina takes a strong position on nullification as the most immediate weapon against Washington. However, she leaves the secession door wide open if nullification doesn’t work.

She really did a great job there. In hindsight, she had an opportunity for a great line when talking about gun control:

Questioner: “But where would you draw the line on where people can take guns?”

Answer that would have been awesome: “Wherever you want the next mass murder to happen.”

In other words, “drawing the line” and deeming some place a gun free zone is essentially marking it as an easy target zone.

Hindsight is 20/20 though, and considering the pressure she must have been under she did a tremendous job.

Awesome! As a native Californian I can only dream of a candidate for governor like Debra Medina. I will be watching the Texas race. Maybe my family will move to Texas.

And I really like the answer posted in the comment by Tom Utley.
