Here’s Why No One Ever Invades Switzerland

Switzerland has been a free nation for over 700 years. Sure, the nation is a mountain fortress in Europe. But Hitler’s generals seriously considered the invasion (Operation Tannenbaum, 1940) and then decided that the cost would be too terrible. The reason it would have been too terrible was the long-standing Swiss militia, citizen riflemen both well trained and heavily armed.

This is what Liberty looks like. This young man is toting a fully automatic SIG 550 assault rifle, walking casually in a market. The North America state that steps up and replicates this level of freedom can successfully secede from the Union. All others are “iffy.”
