Gun Control And The Well-Regulated Militia Update

December 4, 2012

By Russell D. Longcore

(Editor’s note: I wrote this back in May 2009. I’m updating it today. Apparently, sportscaster Bob Costas and other mindless state-worshippers still cannot wrap their brains around the concepts of Natural Law. Of course, they would have had to actually learn the concept in order to forget or ignore it.)

Gun control is today’s subject. The issue has regrettably popped up onto the national radar screen after Jovan Belcher, a nobody NFL player, shot and killed his girlfriend and then did the criminal courts system a favor by killing himself. (In the USA, there are about 221 homicides EACH WEEK in which a gun is used.* But the rest of those people weren’t major or minor celebrities, so they must not count.) Those who would outlaw gun ownership are undaunted and patient. They know that another celebrity shooting, school shooting or mass murder will eventually occur in the United States, and that the event will propel this issue back onto the front pages and lead stories in the news media. So, let us examine the issue of gun control in light of history and a strict interpretation of the Constitution.

For today, we will suspend the debate about whether the Constitution has any validity. Let’s just all stipulate that for this argument, it does.

The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says:

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”.

Any State with a well-regulated Militia would be capable of defending itself from Federal tyranny or foreign invasion. Over the past two hundred years, the individual States have forgotten that their security as a free State relies upon a well regulated Militia. The first two phrases in the Amendment shed light on today’s power structure in the United States. The Federal government now has standing armies, navies and an air force that far outnumbers any state militia. So, state sovereignty has been destroyed. Now states are more like counties…no sovereignty, only slave territories of a cancer-ridden, predatory Federal system. So the very opposite of the Second Amendment has become true, stated thus: “A Well-Regulated Militia, being unnecessary to the security of a Serf State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall indeed be infringed.”

Let’s consider the definition of the word “arms”.

The Second Amendment does not define the word “arms” but leaves it open to definition and expansion in the future. “Arms” were not only firearms, but any weapon that could be used to defend one’s life or property. Why then do the anti-gun advocates only single out firearms as the focus of their desire to disarm Americans? Why not archery equipment, swords, knives, or sharpened sticks?

Next, let’s look at the word “infringe”. The Webster’s Dictionary defines “infringe” in two ways pertinent to this discussion; from the Latin “infrangere”:(1) “to break; to violate or go beyond the limits of: (2) to encroach upon.” In order to further explain the Second Amendment, the definition of the word “right” must also be considered, and is: “something due to one by law, custom or nature.” The “right” is the thing not to be infringed by government. In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson writes of mankind being “endowed by their Creator with certain Unalienable Rights.” The definitions above speak directly to rights endowed to humans by natural law, and to the nature of man as a created being subject to God’s authority. These rights were among those enumerated as “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Therefore, the Second Amendment states that the right to keep and bear arms is one that is endowed by our Creator under natural law and shall not be broken, violated or encroached upon by the Federal government. It validates the concept of personal property ownership, in this case one’s own person, and the principle of self-defense.

Read What Are Unalienable Rights? to grasp the concept of Natural Law and Unalienable Rights.

Many gun control advocates support, and have been successful in the criminalization of the ownership of certain automatic and semi-automatic weapons, the so-called “assault weapons”. They now seek to restrict the ownership of nearly all firearms by private citizens. Yet the issue of advancing technology was not an issue that the framers of the Constitution even considered worthy of mention. These were learned men, and were well aware of the technological improvements that were made in weaponry just in their lifetimes. They knew world history and knew that guns and gunpowder were relative newcomers to the art of war.

But please consider: at the time of the Revolutionary War, did not the Continental armies possess the same technology of armaments as the Redcoats? Yes.

Hadn’t the Colonial citizens owned and used firearms since the early 1600s? Yes!

Did the English soldiers have cartridges for their rifles while the Colonials had only musket and ball? No. Musket, ball and cannon were the leading technologies of the day.

Did only the King have the ability to build ships, forge cannon and cannonball? No. John Paul Jones was a privateer, which is basically a government-sponsored pirate, preying on English ships. His first wartime command was aboard the ship Providence, owned by New England businessman John Brown. The Providence bristled with cannons.

Both of the combatants in the Revolutionary War had the same technology in armaments. The Continental armies consisted of fighting citizens, taking up their rifles and pistols, forging cannon and going to war against superior numbers in the British army and navy, but not against superior weapons.

Therefore, when it came time for the framers of the Constitution to consider the Amendments, they did not even mention the possibility that the private citizen should be prevented from owning the same weapons as the military. Ladies and Gentlemen, the militias of the Colonies WERE the military!! Could it be that they considered the threat of government tyranny greater than that of citizens owning the latest, most advanced weapons? If the Continentals had the same technology in armaments as the British military, how is it that today’s politician has concluded that (a) semi-auto firearms are not necessary for a citizen to own, (b) full-auto firearms have mostly been outlawed, and that (c) firearms should be OK as long as they are used for hunting or sporting purposes? Where in HELL did this hunting and sporting idea come from?

One of the beauties of the Constitution is its simplicity. The Second Amendment is written with no ambiguity in clear, simple words. Words have meaning. For decades now, those who would subjugate our citizens with Federal and State tyranny have fought to redefine the words of the Second Amendment. They have been successful in passing unconstitutional laws that do in fact infringe upon our right to keep and bear arms. The framers understood that with freedom comes responsibility, and that the ideas and acts of men have consequences. Yet they entrusted to future generations this simple Amendment. They possessed the foreknowledge that this newly-formed government would have the same potential as governments throughout history to decline toward tyranny and totalitarianism.

Finally, you might want to take a look at Ammo: Isn’t It Obvious? which is likely the next logical step for Washington to take to disarm America.

Liberty lovers, tyranny is usually not completed in one grand sweep. There is no single foreign enemy that is going to invade America and enslave its people. It is much more effective when the tyrants enslave people a tiny bit at a time. Tyrants are patient, and the people are usually too busy living their lives to care. It’s death by a thousand little cuts. And you still end up dead.

The Right To Keep And Bear Arms is yet another great reason that secession is the ONLY solution for individual liberty and property rights in North America.

Before you give sit down at your big feast today, take a look at this article from Thanksgiving Day 2011.

Before You Give Thanks Today

Now let’s talk about holidays in the Free Republic of North America (FRONA).

The big Fall harvest feast, otherwise known as Thanksgiving Day, has its roots in a Puritan celebration of harvest that began in the 1620s. And throughout America history, it has been celebrated on various dates. But it was enshrined as a national holiday by none other than US President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 by a presidential proclamation that Thanksgiving Day be observed on the final Thursday of November. His reason for embracing the official Thanksgiving Day was said to be an effort to create some kind of unity between the North and the South. At that time, the Confederate States of America not being all that keen on Lincolnian edicts, ignored the bastard. After Reconstruction, Thanksgiving Day was finally observed in the states of the former Confederacy also.

So, I’m thinking that the folks that populate FRONA will not be all that keen on continuing with American national holidays, and will have a desire to create their own national holidays. And the harvest festival may continue because it is so ingrained in our collective consciousness. But the FRONA government will not declare any day to be a national holiday simply because the FRONA national government will understand that its role is not to be the parent of the People. So I would submit that we citizens of FRONA come up with a fitting reason for giving thanks in the fall harvest season and designate a day for giving thanks to our Creator. And I also submit that the reason for a FRONA Thanksgiving is that we have seceded from the US Union and become a sovereign nation, and that FRONA stands entirely against the tyranny that smothers the rest of the world.

But let’s not confuse this holiday of gratefulness with our own Independence Day. We should also have a day of celebration that coincides with the day that we submitted an Ordinance of Secession to the other states of the Union and peacefully asserted our sovereignty as a nation once more. That should be the greater of the two holidays.

You can be properly grateful that you have a big “turkey day” and have spread a table of delicious food to be enjoyed by family and friends. But nothing else should eclipse celebrating the acts of men in which they take upon themselves their duty to throw off a government that has become an enemy of liberty and an engine of tyranny…to once again organize a government that “provides new guards for their future security.”

Happy American Thanksgiving Day, everyone.

Secession is the only hope for mankind to enjoy individual liberty and property rights in North America. Who will be first?

Welcome to Flash Editorials for November 16, 2012. I am Russell D. Longcore, owner and editor of DumpDC. Flash Editorials is presented by w w w dot Dump D C dot com. DumpDC is the world leader in secessionist thought. We show the world that secession is the only hope for personal liberty and property rights on the planet.

Some of the stuff I’ve seen happen this week…you can’t make up. Weeellll, that’s actually not true. Fiction writers fill novels with this kind of crazy stuff all the time. You just don’t usually see these stupid human tricks play out in real life. As the Chinese saying goes…“May you live in interesting times.” Let’s go to the news.

The Nation I: This week, some resourceful folks planted a bunch of secession petitions in the WhiteHouse.org website, and people from all over the nation began electronically signing them. As of today, there are petitions filed for all 50 states, and there have been over 700,000 digital signatures filed. I wrote an article this week in which I stated that the petitions are entirely incorrect, and that this is not the way a state secedes…by begging the current administration for permission to leave the Union. A few people left comments here at DumpDC fussing at me for not being wildly in favor of the petitions. So here is my latest comment. In the public relations game, even when they are talking ugly about you, they are still talking about you. I am glad that the secession petitions raised awareness about secession here in America. I am glad that Sean Hannity interviewed TNM president Daniel Miller on Hannity’s show Tuesday night. The more that America hears the word “secession,” the more comfortable they will be with it. And because America heard about it on TV, that somehow lends credibility to the story and the concept. Secession is a long way from reality. No governor or state house in America will take up this topic in a serious manner until AFTER the economic collapse. Then they will deal with it out of self-preservation.

The Nation II: The CIA/Benghazi/Petraeus story got legs. Lots of legs. Girls all over the place. Two generals are now in trouble along with two Florida military brass groupies (who knew that generals had groupies?). Paula Broadwell, Petraeus’ principal squeeze, has been found to have classified data on her computer, although the source of the data has not yet been revealed. Most of us only know about the CIA from what THEY tell us about themselves, or what we see on fictional TV shows or movies like The Bourne Trilogy. So America in its ignorance THINKS that our intelligence community is the best in the world. But that is just public relations. Our spies seem to be bumbling idiots that can’t run an “op” (operation) right, even if it means their own skin. And when the guys at the top are the biggest security risks of all, you know that shyt rolls downhill into the organization. I don’t want to demean all the operators in the CIA. There are career guys and gals that care deeply about doing their jobs right. But don’t you forget this…Afghanistan’s poppy crop had been all but obliterated by the Taliban. Now the Afghanis supply 90% of the world’s heroin market. Who is running that op? The CIA. Why? One reason…off-budget cash cow that funds all kinds of CIA shenanigans. And the guys at the top are always political appointees who couldn’t spell “intelligence” before they got their cushy jobs. Case in point…Leon Panetta. Are you kidding? This guy never even sat on a House Intelligence committee when he was a Congressman. Then all of a sudden, he is qualified to be head of the CIA? Based on what? And now the guy is the Secretary of Defense? Based on what? The fact that he was a second lieutenant in the Army in 1964? Pulleeeze. The CIA is broken, and won’t be fixed by DC. It will be fascinating to see what trained monkey that Obama will nominate as the next CIA Director.

International I: Oil giant BP (British Petroleum) has agreed to pay the largest CRIMINAL penalty in the history of the world because of its responsibility for the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. BP is going to plead guilty to obstruction of justice for lying to Congress about how much oil was spewing into the Gulf waters. The amount of the fine is $4.5 Billion. Up to now, the largest corporate criminal penalty ever paid was paid by drugmaker Pfizer in the amount of $1.2 Billion. But don’t worry about BP, though. They made a net profit of $5.5 Billion….in the third quarter of this year.

Business I: I am Founder of a private, secret, members-only Twitter group. We are limiting our membership to just 20 members, 5 are already in. If you have a Twitter following larger than 10,000, my group will give you exposure to over 200,000 tweets each day FOR FREE. If you want this kind of exposure for your Tweets, contact me on Twitter @russlongcore. Follow me, then leave me a direct message. We require members to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Business II: A couple weeks back, I learned about a new business concept called “Social Commerce.” We all know about Social Networking and how big it has become. The use of websites like Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Pinterest and others has exploded in just a few short years. Remember, Facebook launched in 2004. So in eight years, it has become the giant it is now, with over 1 billion worldwide members.

“Social Commerce” is simply gaining access to the vast numbers of eyes looking at Social Networks for business purposes. Now, the traditional method of gaining that access is advertising. But advertising on social networks is not working out as well as expected. Facebook thought they were going to make a killing selling ads to business who wanted access to all those eyes. But Facebook’s stock price has gone from its IPO high of $38 to today’s price around $22.

Turns out that social network users don’t like ads any more than they do on TV. I want to see a show of hands. How many of you record TV shows…even sports events…to view later? And how many of you fast forward through the commercials? That’s what I thought. You ALL DO. So, how can a business take advantage of Social Networking?

Referrals. Networking. Word Of Mouth advertising…the most powerful and effective form of advertising in existence. And Word of Mouth advertising costs nothing. Think about this. You went to a movie you liked and you recommended it to friends. You ate a great meal at a restaurant and told your friends. That is Word Of Mouth advertising. But let me ask you this…did the theater or restaurant pay you any commission when your friends spent money there? Of Course Not!!

So how can you harness the power of Word Of Mouth advertising for your business? An even better question is…How can I start a business using Social Networking and turn in into Social Commerce?

That question leads me into tonight’s commercial message. Would you like to learn how you can make all your social networking PAY YOU! Let me introduce you to a new company named Solavei. Solavei just launched nationwide on September 21, 2012. They have created a company that will allow YOU to refer your friends and relatives and make money by doing it. You don’t have to sell anything. Simply post messages and links and let your friends family and acquaintances look for themselves. If they like what they see and make a purchase, you get paid!!

Solavei’s first Value Proposition is this: Unlimited talk, text and data on a 4G nationwide network for $49.00 per month. No Contract. No Credit Checks. No Deposits. You can bring your phone and phone number with you. And enrolling takes about 5-6 minutes online. I saved $46 a month by switching! That’s $552 a year and I’m getting more that I got with ATT.

Think about this: Cell phone service is a life-essential service that nearly every person from age 10 to age 100 has. And mobile phone users will not voluntarily give up their phone service. What would they do? Get a land line? That requires credit checks and deposits. So phone bills…like utility bills…will get paid every month even if other expenses get cut or eliminated altogether. That makes the business recession-proof.

Solavei’s business model is this: Refer people you know to Solavei. When those people sign up like you did, you will receive monthly commissions as long as those new customers remain Solavei customers. Solavei even has a plan whereby members can have their mobile phone service FOR FREE. How many people getting free phone service are going to switch to another carrier? NONE! No other phone provider can beat FREE, can they?

To learn more, go to http://www.DumpDC.com and look for this Flash Editorial article. Scroll down to the Solavei video, it’s only six minutes long. Watch it, then sign up TODAY!!

What is Solavei? from Solavei on Vimeo.

Economy I: The number of actual initial unemployment claims filed under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 466,348 in the week ending November 10th. This is a whopping increase of 104,548 over the previous week and is attributable to Hurricane Sandy hitting the Northeast. Yet when I heard a news report of this story on Fox Business this morning at 8:40 am…just ten minutes after the Labor Department released their numbers…Fox reported the cooked numbers of the “4-week moving average” of “only” 383,750 as a positive trend for the economy. You may get tired of seeing this story every week, but every week the Labor Department LIES TO AMERICA. Friends, this week’s figures increased by over 100,000 in a single WEEK! That is a hundred thousand people MORE than the usual 380,000 WEEKLY NEW CLAIMS! If any economic stories concern you, this slow-moving train wreck should bother you a lot. When is YOUR JOB going to be threatened? Do you have a Plan B just in case?

In Sports: The Atlanta Falcons lost to the Saints last Sunday so their record is now 7-1. Still pretty great. Just 3-4 years ago, the Falcons led the NFL in rushing yards gained. This year, they don’t seem to be able to move the ball on the ground. Can’t win games without a ground game. Time will tell. Other than that, nothing much to talk about in Sports this week.

Sports Part II: Anytime you get a chance to watch college football, watch the SEC games. The SEC is the number one college conference for rookie NFL players. And any SEC team can beat any other SEC team on any given Saturday. Top to bottom, the SEC is the best college football in America.

Finally, in Entertainment: Actor Channing Tatum has been named “Sexiest Man Alive 2012 ” by People Magazine. First thing I did when learning this is look at Wikipedia about the guy. I figured no way that Channing Tatum is his real name…sounds made up. My bad. It’s just a very Southern name. He’s a Mississippi boy and his daddy’s name is Glenn Tatum. But have you seen this kid? He’s mighty pretty. Hope he doesn’t get all paunchy and rotund like me later in life. I was pretty once, too. See? That’s me in my wrestling pose as a high school senior. Cute, huh?

That’s all for tonight. Thanks for watching. I am Russell D. Longcore. For all of us here at DumpDC: Good night and good luck.

The title is what cops say to gapers and rubberneckers at accident scenes. And I’m telling you that this story about secession petitions is a non-story. But I could be wrong. Happened before…

I was on the air Monday on WJCN 1360 am in Philadelphia from 3:00 to 4:00, being interviewed about secession. Loved it…caught some drive time listeners. The host, Susan Payne, was all excited about the story she had seen about secession petitions that have been sent to the White House. She mentioned a Washington Post article about the petitions. She asked me to comment.

I read the Washington Post article which quotes excerpts from the Alabama secession petition. Then I went to the WhiteHouse.gov website and actually read all the petitions. And nearly all of them are written incorrectly, beginning thus: “We petition the Obama Administration to Peacefully grant the State of _______ to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own new government.”

That is not the method whereby a state secedes. This is tantamount to an employer asking his employee for permission to fire the employee. Although the petitioners and signatories are sincere in their desires, they exhibit a breathtaking ignorance of history, law and the Constitution. I am also a product of government schools, but I did not stop reading books when I received my high school diploma. So while I would like to blame Federal schools for the mind-numbed populace, the numbing was self-inflicted by “Them The People.”

Reminds me of the Pink Floyd song, “Comfortably Numb”… “Just a little pin prick…..”

There are certain states that do not need to ask permission to secede from the Union because the Federal Government in Washington DC is not a party to the agreement between the states. DC has no standing, as they say in court proceedings. Any state properly secedes when it prepares an Ordinance of Secession and presents it to the other states.

An Ordinance of Secession is not a petition. It is a declaration of independence that revokes and dissolves the union between that state and the other states.

I can assure you that these petitions are not being taken seriously in Washington. Fact is, they welcome the diversion from the CIA Petraeus story.

A crucial point sprang into my bourbon-sotted mind as I wrote this article. The US Constitution was written and ratified (allegedly) by the thirteen sovereign nations that were the original thirteen colonies that fought and won the First North America Secession of 1776. Get it? Thirteen nations…not 50. Later, West Virginia was carved out of the State of Virginia by Lincoln and his cronies. Texas was a sovereign nation when it was granted statehood. And Hawaii was a sovereign nation that was overthrown by DC and stolen. ALL THE REST of the states that now exist WERE NOT NATIONS prior to their statehood. Some states were formed when sovereign nations actually DONATED land to the Federal Government. Most of the states were TERRITORIES, and not sovereign nations. And the territories were owned by Washington DC.¹

A reasonable argument could be made that any current state that was not a sovereign nation at the time it was granted statehood might have a difficult time seceding from the United States of America and getting shed of Washington. Understand that I am not an attorney, and I’m only offering my opinion on this date. I have not read the State Constitutions of any of the US States. More information may come to me that will cause me to change this opinion.

Looks to me like Texas is the front runner in the race to be a new nation!

Here’s how to secede.
The US is not a sovereign nation; if it were, then unilateral secession would be impossible, since there is no such thing as an “escape clause” from a sovereign nation.

Rather, each state is sovereign unto itself, via its People; that’s why the Constitution was ratified by popular vote in each state, not an act of the legislature. In essence, each state is a sovereign nation, and its People the ruling sovereigns.

The problem in 1861, was that the states defended themselves as an act of revolution rather than plain national defense; and by failing to assert the legal fact of their sovereignty as strongly as they could, they tacitly allowed the northern state’s claims of collective sovereignty to stand unopposed; this gave them the necessary domestic and foreign support needed to mount a successful military invasion and victory, while likewise prompting the Confederacy’ Napoleonic attempt at counter-invasion which met its Waterloo at Gettysburg.

This in turn resulted in a sustained occupation and censorship, which existed to date, with the truth only recently surfacing due to freed communication via the internet.

In order to secede, a state simply needs to assert the fact of its status as a sovereign nation by international law, via the recognition of two or more existing sovereign states– as with the 1783 Treaty of Paris, the Treaty of Texas, or the later recognition by the other American states formed out of its territories.

This likewise involves the historical declaration of each state being popularly sovereign, with its government deriving its powers by consent of its citizens, with the ensuing right to alter or abolish their government at will, along with its treaties and other foreign policy; for this was the manner in which they ratified the current Constitution to create a new federal republic among them.

Nor was this a national constitution in which any state relinquished its sovereignty as a separate nation in order to become a single collective sovereign state; but rather the sovereign People of each state expressly re-delegated powers differently from the prior federal republic formed by the Articles of Confederation– while the new, current federal republic likewise remained a strictly VOLUNTARY international association of sovereign nations.

Therefore, asserting these facts, the People of a state merely need convene as a sovereign People, and manifestly declare their intention to formally and officially withdraw from this international federal compact.

The federal government then has two possible responses:
the first is that it can accept the declaration, and that is the end of it.

The second, is that it will refuse the declaration, fabricating a false history in order to justify it; and this can then be refuted and exposed, proving the federal government to be in hostile invasion and occupation of the state, while subjecting it to military duress. This will then require separate dealing, as with any hostile enemy occupying a sovereign nation in violation of international law and recognition.

That’s really all there is to it. Only one state needs to thus declare its sovereignty in order for to establish this precedent, which follows that likewise established in 1787 when each state unilaterally seceded from the 1781 Confederation.
Some falsely claim that this was an existing union which simply changed its tenets, however plain history refutes this myth.

Therefore to recap, the People of a state must convene and assert their state’s national sovereignty, refuting the current regime’s claim of sovereign national authority over them; and the rest will be up to the regime in order to accept or refuse it, and the manner thereof; and the resulting course of action by the state in response.

In no case could there ever be a “civil war,” nor was there ever; for a civil war by definition is a domestic incident within a sovereign nation, never between separate ones as in 1861, as established by original intent of the states themselves. Post-invasive suppression and propagandizing of the facts are not history; they are merely censorship, and clearly cannot change prior original intent, or its retention of sovereignty.

As such, those who claim that a “civil war settled the law” are merely mistaken, since neither invasion nor hostile occupation and censorship can change a nation’s sovereignty by merely suppressing the fact thereof.

Convention, and declaration, thus remain the path to secession, accompanied by assertion of supporting fact and dissolution of contrary propaganda.

(Editor’s note: This is just brilliant. Just read the text and watch the video.)

It’s not simply secession, but sovereignty. A state doesn’t need to secede, but merely the ability to do so, in order to keep the feds in line; it’s like any defense, i.e. you have it so you don’t need to use it.

Otherwise, the federal government becomes an uncontestable ruling oligarchy which wields absolute power over every state, and there’s nothing they can do about it; as Thomas Jefferson wrote in The Kentucky Resolutions:
“Resolved, That the several States composing, the United States of America, are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their general government; but that, by a compact under the style and title of a Constitution for the United States, and of amendments thereto, they constituted a general government for special purposes…. the government created by this compact was not made the exclusive or final judge of the extent of the powers delegated to itself; since that would have made its discretion, and not the Constitution, the measure of its powers; but that, as in all other cases of compact among powers having no common judge, each party has an equal right to judge for itself, as well of infractions as of the mode and measure of redress.”

This was made clear by James Madison as he wrote in January of 1800 for the Virginia Assembly, in his Report on the Virginia Resolutions:
“It is indeed true that the term ‘states’ is sometimes used in a vague sense, and sometimes in different senses, according to the subject to which it is applied. Thus it sometimes means the separate sections of territory occupied by the political societies within each; sometimes the particular governments established by those societies; sometimes those societies as organized into those particular governments; and lastly, it means the people composing those political societies, in their highest sovereign capacity. Although it might be wished that the perfection of language admitted less diversity in the signification of the same words, yet little inconvenience is produced by it, where the true sense can be collected with certainty from the different applications. In the present instance, whatever different construction of the term ‘states,’ in the resolution, may have been entertained, all will at least concur in that last mentioned; because in that sense the Constitution was submitted to the “states;” in that sense the states ratified it; and in that sense of the term ‘states,’ they are consequently parties to the compact from which the powers of the federal government result.”

In other words, Madison holds, each state ratified the Constitution as a sovereign nation unto itself, and thus they are parties to the Constitution as sovereign nations.
Hence, he here held that the Constitution formed an international VOLUNTARY federal republic among sovereign nations.

Madison then goes on to illustrate the fallacy– and disaster– of construing the Constitution as a national compact among subordinate states:
“On any other hypothesis, the delegation of.. power would annul the authority delegating it; and… subvert forever, and beyond the possible reach of any rightful remedy, the very Constitution which all were instituted to preserve.”

And that’s PRECISELY what transpired under that construction, when presidents Jackson and Lincoln claimed a national compact among the states, with ensuing national authority to maintain sovereign integrity among the states via military coercion– as well as the dictatorial will to do so, and ensuing obsessive demagoguery and dogma to the resulting pseudo-state.

And thus we currently find ourselves in thralldom to a falsely established empire, which pretends itself a token democracy to exercise absolute power in the name of service to the people over whom it reigns– truly, as Madison stated, “the delegation of power annulling the power delegating it.”

Welcome to Flash Editorials for November 2, 2012. I am Russell D. Longcore, owner and editor of DumpDC. Flash Editorials is presented by http://www.DumpDC.com. DumpDC is the world leader in secessionist thought. We show the world that secession is the only hope for personal liberty and property rights on the planet.

This past week has been one for the record books. Something MAJOR happened on Tuesday. The daily traffic I get now at DumpDC.com is five times what it was on Monday. I wonder what could have caused that??? Let’s go to the news!

By the way, I use cuss words in this video. So if cuss words offend you, don’t watch this video. You’ve been warned.

The Nation I: Mr. Obama won. Deal with it.

Why did Barry win? Simple. The Republicans made a mildly convincing argument that America should fire Mr. Obama. The Republicans did not make a convincing argument that America should hire Mitt Romney.

Karl Rove actually said: “The October surprise was an act of God. Hurricane Sandy interrupted Mr. Romney’s momentum.” So what he must be saying is that God wanted Obama to win.

I wrote a brilliant analysis of the election and posted it on Thursday. You can just scroll down from here and read it. But, if you were educated in government schools and mostly get your information from TV, I will take a moment or two and spoon feed you. Open wide…….

No one in America has fronted the ridiculous notion that Mitt was the best man that the Republicans could find to be the presidential candidate. He just outspent and outlasted the others. And his campaign staff, in league with the Republican National Committee, blackballed Ron Paul.

No one in America has fronted the ridiculous notion that Americans rejected Mitt as president because they rejected his core beliefs. That is because nobody knows what Romney’s core beliefs are. He was the Chameleon Candidate. Reminded me of the 80s hit record “My Obsession” by Animotion. In the chorus, the singer sings, “you’re an obsession, you’re my obsession…who do you want me to be to make you sleep with me?”

Mitt would be anything you needed to get elected. Remember he ran for Senate against Teddy Kennedy in 1994 and got clubbed. He’s been doing anything he can to get elected to some office for 18 years. He got the Massachusetts governorship in 2002, only serving one term. That was enough to enhance a resume.

Think about the HUGE thing that Romney AVOIDED in his campaign… Obamacare. If he had solemnly vowed to abolish Obamacare as President, he probably would have won. Senior citizens nationwide are scared of getting their benefits cut under Obamacare. Even though he invented Romneycare in Massachusetts, he could have made a convincing case that what works on a state level does not translate to 315 million people…especially when Washington runs it. Or, if his ego wasn’t so enormous, he could have repudiated it entirely.

Think about Mr. Obama’s own words about his “one-term” presidency. Mitt should have beat Barry about the head and shoulders with that for months. But nary a word was heard. I never saw one clip of that video.

Think about the debates. Romney pulled his punches over and over, refusing to go for the jugular on issues like the Benghazi Embassy deaths or the unemployment rate…or even simple things like the price of a gallon of gasoline.

In Texas Hold-’em parlance…Mitt was not “all in.” He was not willing to get some blood on his hands, so to speak.

And American politics is a blood sport. Republicans are not willing to play rough. In NASCAR there is a saying…”Rubbin’ is Racin’.” A NASCAR driver has to be willing to swap a little paint with other cars or he will not win. But Republicans are not willing to get mean or use a little saucy language. They are not willing to get up in somebody’s face and raise their voices. Give me a candidate who would tell a reporter to “fuck off’ when he asked a stupid question. Republicans are too Goddamn afraid of what the media will say about them. A week ago, the media was all a-twitter because Obama used the word “bullshitter.” Not that they were critical, mind you. Romney would have never used that word ‘cause he is scared. Give me a candidate that would use some four-letter words in a speech. And give me a candidate who can speak without a teleprompter…a candidate who had such deeply-ingrained core beliefs that he could defend them on the fly. Ron Paul didn’t need a damned teleprompter. He spoke from his heart, which is where his core beliefs are.

Democrats are always willing to get down in the mud and mix it up. I’m not saying it’s right…just saying that if you know that the rules of the game are that there really are no rules, the one who wants it most usually wins. Barry was fighting for his political legacy and his place in history. Mitt Romney was running to enhance his resume. Who wanted it most? I leave it to you.

But also keep in mind that Romney is the guy that got beat by McCain who got beat by Obama in 2008. He got the Nominee Runner-up trophy in 2008. This year, he gets the Miss Congeniality tiara. Romney is only the best that the oligarchy could find to do their bidding. It is over for Mr. Romney and his quest for the White House.

Did you watch “The Matrix”? Neo was “The One.” Apparently, Mitt is not The One.

The big joke is that The One doesn’t exist. Obama is not The One. He is merely “A Current One. “

Both men are textbook Sociopaths.

So, what are you going to do over the next four years? You may not be happy, but are you going to just bitch about it, or are you going to take control of your own life? Don’t you think that NOW is a good time to seriously consider secession?

The Nation II: My friends at the Texas Nationalist Movement tell me that their website traffic….at TexasNationalist.com…and memberships have exploded since Tuesday. Some of the major talk radio stations have interviewed TNM president Daniel Miller about secession. I saw one online survey at KYFO 790 am in Lubbock that 88.73% of respondents are in favor of secession. The question they asked was…”Should Texas Secede?” That’s all. Three words. I love Texas.

By the way, I will be on the radio with Susan Payne from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on WJCN, 1360am in Philadelphia on Monday the 12th discussing secession. Tune in or stream the broadcast live.

The Nation III: CIA Director and former Brigadier General David Petraus has resigned as CIA Director, citing getting caught in an extramarital affair. Curious to me that this comes out only AFTER the election is over. This is the CIA. They’re spies. Anybody want to try to convince me that this was not known about before Tuesday? Next question that comes to mind is: Was he “outed” to get rid of him after the Benghazi Embassy incident, and allowed to resign with some modicum of dignity? Watch this story folks. It will last about three weeks and then die.

The Nation IV: Let’s revisit Tropical Storm Sandy. I’m kind of surprised that DC did not try to postpone the elections on Tuesday. But nothing came of all the rumors about martial law and election postponement. Maybe we give the dickheads in DC more credit than they deserve.

International I: The words “renounce citizenship” are now the fastest growing search terms at Google.com. Curiously, Google’s own analytics say that the searches came from such places as Washington state, California, Texas, Georgia, Florida and most of the states of the Eastern Seaboard. Folks, I have been telling you and I’m telling you now. Your choices for liberty are (a) move to a state where secession will likely occur, or (b) escape from America and expatriate. And to do nothing but bitch and do Google searches is also a choice.

Business: A couple weeks back, I learned about a new business concept called “Social Commerce.” We all know about Social Networking and how big it has become. The use of websites like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Pinterest and others has exploded in just a few short years.

But Facebook’s stock price has gone from its IPO high of $38 to today’s price around $19.

Economy I: The number of actual initial unemployment claims filed under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 355,406 in the week ending November 3rd. This is an increase of 14,489 from the previous week. In the same press release, the Labor Department “seasonally adjusted” the number to show that it was 8,000 lower than last week. At least in this case, the lies are published for all to see. And the mainstream media publishes the lies the government gives them, not the actual number shown just ONE PARAGRAPH below the lies.

Sports Part I: The Atlanta Falcons have a 8-0 record in the National Football League. They did not look sharp last Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys, but they still won. Ugly wins still count. This Sunday they take on the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome in “nawlins”. My wife and I were in the city for Mardi Gras this year. Nothing like New Orleans. Quick story. Julie and I were sitting in a seedy bar about a block off Bourbon Street one rainy afternoon and we engaged in conversation a long, lovely young lady sitting next to Julie. She handed her business card to Julie and invited BOTH of us to come to the “gentlemen’s club” that night were she would be workin’ the pole as a dancer. Sometimes my real life exceeds my fantasy life.

Finally, in Entertainment: Not a damned thing worth talking about happened in entertainment this week, but a couple headlines caught my eye. First, Shakespeare specialist Kenneth Branaugh was knighted by Queen Elizabeth this week. And most important of all…The Firefly series celebrates its 10th anniversary this weekend with a Firefly marathon on Sunday on The Science Channel on your cable or satellite provider. Awesome….

That’s all for tonight. Thanks for watching. I am Russell D. Longcore. For all of us here at Dump DC: Good night and good luck.
