(Editor’s Note: WordPress, the host of this blog, deactivated the blog Friday night, indicating that I had violated their Terms of Service as related to Advertising Policy. This blog has been going continuously since 2009…over FOUR YEARS with a perfect record of compliance. WordPress did not send me an email…make a note on my blog…call me…and tell me that there was some piece of content they wanted removed. They just shut me down. We here at DumpDC may need to move from WordPress to a private web host. We still love WordPress, but feel their treatment of us was pretty heavy handed. The site came back online about 3:00 Eastern Monday, and WP still has not communicated with me to tell me what they want done. We await their pleasure…)

Welcome to Flash Editorials for December 1st, 2012. Christmas…Bah, Humbug!!

I am Russell D. Longcore, owner and editor of DumpDC. Flash Editorials is presented by w w w dot Dump D C dot com. DumpDC is the world leader in secessionist thought. We show the world that secession is the only hope for personal liberty and property rights on the planet.

Now, to the news.

The pickins are pretty slim these days after the Obama win, but we do soldier on.

The Nation I: Two tickets for the $588 million Powerball lottery were sold Wednesday night…one in Missouri and one in Arizona. There is a hidden code in your Powerball ticket. If you still have one handy, grab it and I’ll tell you how to read your losing Powerball ticket. The First number is the number of car payments you still have to make. The second number is the number of years you’ll have to keep working at that job you despise. Third number is the number of major life mistakes you’ve made that led to a near-impossible Lotto win being your only hope for a debt-free existence…or a comfy retirement. Fourth number is how many dollars you have in your checking account. Fifth number is how many times you stood in front of the bathroom mirror rehearsing the ways you were going to tell your co-workers and boss to kiss your ass. And the sixth number is the number of times you will re-check the ticket before accepting that you had not a chance in hell of winning. (I stole that off of Facebook.)

The Nation II: The only other story worth mentioning here in national news is the death of Zig Ziglar. Zig died Wednesday in Dallas from complications of pneumonia. He was 86. Ziglar was the undisputed Emperor of all motivational speakers. He filled auditoriums where ever he spoke. His career spanned five decades, and Zig was…and still is…greatly beloved by those like me who are personal development junkies. His most famous quote is, “You can get anything in life you want if you’ll just help enough other people get what THEY want.” Rest well, Mister Ziglar. You’ve earned it.

International I: A tectonic economic shift occurred in Phnom Penh, Cambodia during the week of November 16th to 20th, and America still does not know about it. The 20th ASEAN Summit of 2012 brought together thirteen nations that represent half of the world’s population. Our Dearly Beloved Leader Barry showed up at the conference with his bag 0’tricks, and was politely tolerated until he left, as is the Asian way. America has little to offer the world at this point, and Obama’s proposals for American participation in Asia were shunned entirely. The world is lining up with China, and the nations of the developing world are looking to China for economic leadership…and finding it. China is leading the BRICS nations in an effort to replace the US Dollar as world reserve currency. Remember that China is the world’s largest producer of gold and silver, and China does not disclose much of their mining output. China also is not selling gold outside its own borders. So their lead on the world in gold production is far greater than anyone but the Chinese know. China has been a net seller of US Treasuries over the past year, not adding any more bonds to their holdings, but quietly selling them. And curiously, Japan has been the biggest foreign buyer of US bonds lately. Just goes to show you. Japan’s economy imploded from too much debt about 20 years ago and has not fully recovered. And now they are adding on more American debt instruments? Isn’t this the nation that just had a giant earthquake and tsunami that destroyed much of their nuclear power generating infrastructure? Japan should be plowing all its Yen into its own nation, not helping prop up Washington. Japan would not be buying all this debt unless it perceived some benefit from it. Don’t you wonder what DC has promised the Japanese government? These things have a way of leaking out. Stay tuned.

Yesterday’s DumpDC posting was all about this. Scroll down and make sure you read the article entitled, “The Asian Pivot Already Happened.”

Business I: This week’s Reuters Online has a story about entrepreneurs and “Lean Startup.” That term defines a web businessman starting with little or no capital investment. Another term I’ve seen is “Ultralight Startup.” Google that term to learn more. But if you have never done an online business, what do you do? If you ever dreamed of owning a small business, the timing for starting one could not be better. Your choice of which business to start is more important than any other consideration. Let me show you our business at: www.PortableOnlineBusiness.com

Here is tonight’s commercial message. Anybody read the Tim Ferriss book, The Four Hour Workweek? The subtitle is ”Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join The New Rich.” Ever heard a sexier title…a more irresistible tease? Who wouldn’t want a four hour work week? But I have something that is a variation on that. Maybe I’m not as good as Tim, or perhaps I have different talents and abilities than he has. But my system works just GREAT!

Let me offer to you the joys of 7 Hour Wealth! At 7 Hour Wealth, our sub-title is “Live How You Want To Live, Live Where You Want To Live, And Make Money Doing It!”

We still LOVE the DEAL concept that Tim Ferriss teaches. DEAL is an acrostic for a process of creating time freedom, which is what we are all about:

D – Definition: You must define how you want your life to operate before you can have it.
E – Elimination: We teach you how to get rid of time gobbling activity in favor of time spent that is rich in results.
A – Automation: being to outsource the stuff you know best to others, thereby freeing up your time while still maintaining control of the process.
L – Liberation: this is about living the success you defined at the beginning. And this level of success allows for the ultimate luxury…mobility and the freedom to live by your own rules, not someone else’s rules.

Sound tempting?

Economy I: The number of actual initial unemployment claims filed under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 357,015 in the week ending November 17th. This is a whopping decrease of 46,541 over the previous week and is attributable to Holiday merchants hiring. Curiously, the Labor Department NEVER reports the number of claimants that reached the end of their benefits and fell out of the system. But the story is the number. Another 357,000 people just like you filed new jobless claims last week. Just last week. And corporations all across America will shed jobs in the final weeks of 2012 in an attempt to show greater profitability at the end of the 4th quarter. It happens every year.

And I’ll say it again. Think about all those jobs said to have been “created” by the Obama Administration, or promised by schmucks like Mitt Romney. First…government does not create jobs, either in the public sector or the private sector. Jobs are created by capital, not by taxation. Capital is investment; taxation is theft with the implied threat of death. All jobs are not created equal. If you create two jobs that pay $10 an hour in the low-paying service sector to replace the high-paying engineering job in manufacturing that paid $50 an hour, you can truthfully say you created more jobs than you lost. But the economic impact is not the same. This is the dirty little secret of the politician and job creation. And the only reason they can get away with this over and over is that the American people don’t know the difference and don’t know the numbers behind the headlines.

In Sports: Big rivalry in the NFL between the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons got decided in Atlanta’s favor Thursday night with a 23-13 win. That leaves the Falcons with the best record in the NFL at 11-1, and the Saints effectively out of any hopes of getting to the playoffs. Playoffs? Playoffs? Jim Mora.

In Entertainment: The Rolling Stones are beginning their 50th Anniversary Tour with a show in London on Sunday night, then on to three more gigs in America…in the New York area. Can you imagine these old coots, all nearly 70 years old, still playing kick-ass rock and roll? Jagger was born in 1943…do the math. And what Vegas bookie would have even taken a bet on whether Keith Richards would even be alive in 2012? But here they are, doing four more concerts. And their concerts will be over two hours long, with nearly two dozen songs performed. But only four concerts…they’re old wankers. Ancient tossers.

Finally, in Entertainment: JRR Tolkien’s epic book The Hobbit has been lovingly turned into a three-movie series by Peter Jackson, the producer that brought us the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Hobbit One will be in theaters on December 14th. You must see this film.

That’s all for tonight. Thanks for watching. I am Russell D. Longcore. For all of us here at Dump D C: Good night and good luck.

The Asian Pivot Already Happened

November 30, 2012

The “Asian Pivot” in the title is a recently-invented phrase which describes world nations pivoting away from American allegiance and pivoting toward Asia and specifically China.

Spengler is a link to an outstanding article by “Spengler” at The Asian Times. You MUST read this. The American Main Stream Media will not report this, yet this meeting that happened November 16th – 20th, was the single most important market shift in the last 100 years.

Here are a few excerpts:

“It is symptomatic of the national condition of the United States that the worst humiliation ever suffered by it as a nation, and by a US president personally, passed almost without comment last week.

Does the United States have a competitive advantage? Apart from commercial aircraft, power-generating equipment, and agriculture, it has few areas of real industrial pre-eminence. Cheap natural gas helps low-value-added industries such as fertilizer, but the US is lagging in the industrial space.

…The US still dominated the nuclear power plant industry. With the sale of the Westinghouse nuclear power business to Toshiba, and Toshiba’s joint ventures with China to build (thorium) power plants locally, that advantage has evaporated.

The problem is that Americans have stopped investing in the sort of high-tech, high-value-added industries that produce the manufactures that Asia requires.”

Welcome to Flash Editorials for November 23, 2012. I am Russell D. Longcore, owner and editor of DumpDC. Flash Editorials is presented by w w w dot Dump D C dot com. DumpDC is the world leader in secessionist thought. We show the world that secession is the only hope for personal liberty and property rights on the planet.

This was the week of Turkey Day, so not much happening in America except overeating. But before we go to the news, let’s talk about something called a ‘Black Swan event.” A Black Swan event was the subject of a book by Nassim Taleb entitled ”The Black Swan.” A black swan even is an event that is a surprise to the observer, nearly impossible to predict, has a major effect, and is usually only understood in hindsight. Got the concept? Now think about the turkey that adorned your Thanksgiving table. He recently had a Black Swan event. From his earliest consciousness, he was fed plentifully every day. Based upon his life experience, there was no reason for him to think that this lifestyle would not continue. Abruptly he was slaughtered. For the turkey, or for the pig that provided you your ham, there was no hindsight…no understanding of the event.

This Is A Black Swan Event.

As Soren Kierkegaard said, “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to accept what is true.” Don’t allow secession to be a Black Swan event in your life.

Now, to the news.

The Nation I: I had an epiphany this week. I figured out why Washington and the Federal Reserve are continuing with Quantitative Easing III. Chairman Bernanke said it was to help the fragile economy. But that was only the latest lie. The Fed could not care less about the economy. The Fed is buying US Treasuries and dropping that so-called liquidity into the US Banking sector. But banking cannot loan that money to business at market interest rates. So, what does the banker do? He loans his money back to the Fed for a safe return, no market risk. But this financial circle jerk protects WASHINGTON from higher interest rates on its own debt. If DC had to start paying anything north of 4%, it would melt DC down entirely. All taxation and all borrowed money would have to go to service the debt. No money for any government program, including Social Security and Medicare. DC is just covering their own asses and kicking the can down the road just a little farther. They will deal with the future crash when it happens…just not today.

The Nation II: Is it just me, or have any of you noticed that changing the party in power NEVER changes policy? Could it be that the two parties are essentially one party? It would be one thing if one party stood for strict Constitutionality, and the other party rejected strict Constitutionality. But BOTH parties totally ignore that tattered old document and do whatever the hell they choose. Actually, the truth is that they do what they are TOLD.

Now that the election is over, President Stepin Fetchit and his Congressional Homeboy Posse are now getting the Mainstream Media worked up over the latest meme, which is the phrase “The Fiscal Cliff.” Now… a moment. Now, for you friends out there that don’t know who Stepin Fetchit was…here’s a little history. Back in the 1920s and 30s an black actor named Lincoln Perry played a character named Stepin Fetchit that was very popular in movies. The name was a play on words…the words that a slaveowner would say to his slave… “I need my umbrella. Step and Fetch it.”

Stepin Fetchit and Will Rogers

This character was described as “the laziest man in the world.” The name Stepin Fetchit became an automatic label for a lazy, subservient, bumbling, dimwitted, good-for-nothing black man. So now you know who Stepin Fetchit was. And the reason I use that term today is that Mister Obama is Stepin Fetchit for the oligarchy that runs America. But don’t get the idea that Barry is the first. All of the presidents since Reconstruction have been Stepin Fetchit for the oligarchy. He’s just the latest. And Congress is filled with Stepin Fetchits, and that ain’t about their skin color.

But I digress.

This topic of the Fiscal Cliff was not discussed before the election, and it is almost as if the White House Press Secretary issued talking points in the briefing room for the reporters to carry back to their offices and implement. But now that the so-called Sabbath Gasbags (thanks Rachel Maddow) have done their duty and opened up the topic, the Republicans, starting with House Majority Leader John Boner, are lining up to make more compromises on keeping the spending going and raising your taxes. Both sides would get what they want if they would just shut the hell up and live with the deal they made in 2011. The Democrats would get huge cuts in military spending, and the Republicans would get automatic cuts in domestic spending. But BOTH SIDES cannot bear the thought of allowing the other side even the smallest victory. And even right after an election, Washington cannot abide the reality of big spending cuts sending the American economy into another tailspin. The scary part of this story is that the power elite talking about this so-called Fiscal Cliff doesn’t reveal how bad things are, and will help immunize DC from blame when the shit hits the fan. You can be certain that Washington will blame free enterprise, capitalism and the wealthy for the economic collapse that is at the bottom of that Fiscal Cliff.

International I: This week I saw news reports and alleged photos that were supposed to prove that Iran (who else) was helping Venezuela build intercontinental ballistic missile silos in Venezuela. When US State Department reps were asked about the story, they said they could not vouch for these reports. I think these reports are planted stories…probably by the CIA. Think about it. Who are DC’s two biggest thorns in the flesh? Iran and Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. Doesn’t anybody else think it’s just too convenient that these two countries are supposed to be in cahoots on ICBMs? But whether the story is true or not…know what would make the story go away? Washington minding its own business and not pissing on all the other countries of the world and telling them it’s raining…that could make our enemies at least not wish us harm. But what do I know?

Business I: I am Founder of a private, secret, members-only Twitter group. We are limiting our membership to just 20 members, 5 are already in. If you have a Twitter following larger than 10,000, my group will give you exposure to over 200,000 tweets each day FOR FREE. If you want this kind of exposure for your Tweets, contact me on Twitter @russlongcore. Follow me, then leave me a direct message. We require members to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Here is tonight’s commercial message. Would you like to learn how you can make all your social networking PAY YOU! Let me introduce you to a new company named Solavei. Solavei just launched nationwide on September 21, 2012. They have created a company that will allow YOU to refer your friends and relatives and make money by doing it. You don’t have to sell anything. Simply post messages and links and let your friends, family and acquaintances look for themselves. If they like what they see and make a purchase, you get paid!!

Solavei’s first Value Proposition is this: Unlimited talk, text and data on a 4G nationwide network for $49.00 per month. No Contract. No Credit Checks. No Deposits. You can bring your phone and phone number with you. And enrolling takes about 5-6 minutes online. I saved $46 a month by switching! That’s $552 a year and I’m getting more that I got with ATT.

Think about this: Cell phone service is a life-essential service that nearly every person from age 10 to age 100 uses every day. And mobile phone users will not voluntarily give up their phone service. What would they do? Get a land line? That requires credit checks and deposits. So phone bills…like utility bills…will get paid every month even if other expenses get cut or eliminated altogether. That makes the business recession-proof.

Solavei’s business model is this: Refer people you know to Solavei. When those people sign up like you did, you will receive monthly commissions as long as those new customers remain Solavei customers. Solavei even has a plan whereby members can have their mobile phone service FOR FREE. How many people getting free phone service are going to switch to another carrier? NONE! No other phone provider can beat FREE, can they?

To learn more, go to http://www.DumpDC.com and look for this Flash Editorial article. Scroll down to the Solavei video, it’s only six minutes long. Watch it, then sign up TODAY!!

What is Solavei? from Solavei on Vimeo.

Economy I: The number of actual initial unemployment claims filed under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 397,691 in the week ending November 17th. This is a whopping decrease of 80,872 over the previous week and is attributable to Hurricane Sandy hitting the Northeast. The previous week jumped up by over 100,000 and dropped by 80,000 a week later. But the story is the number. Another 397,000 people just like you filed new jobless claims just last week. Just last week.

And about all those jobs said to have been created by the Obama Administration, or promised by schmucks like Mitt Romney. All jobs are not created equal. If you create two jobs that pay $10 an hour in the low-paying service sector to replace the high-paying engineering job in manufacturing that paid $50 an hour, you can truthfully say you created more jobs than you lost. But the economic output is not the same. This is the dirty little secret of the politician and job creation. And the only reason they can get away with this over and over is that the American people don’t know the difference and don’t know the numbers behind the headlines.

In Sports: The Macho Man took his final shot to the head last Tuesday. Famous Puerto Rican Boxer Hector “Macho Man” Camacho was sitting in a car outside a bar in San Juan Tuesday night when a gunman shot him in the head. Doctors have declared Camacho clinically brain dead. The other occupant of the car was also shot and killed. Camacho had a professional boxing career record of 79-6-3. He had won the world titles in the Super Lightweight, Lightweight and Junior Welterweight divisions. Camacho had drug abuse issues throughout his life, and police found cocaine in the car where he was murdered.

Finally, in Entertainment: I watched the movie “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” last night with The Redhead. British retirees travel to Jaipur India where they all stay in a fixer-upper hotel. There is no violence. There is no sex. There is no filthy dialogue. There is just humanity and love gently shown. Please rent this movie. There are a lot of spiritual themes in the movie that have nothing to do with any one religion. Carl Jung said, “You must give up the life you’ve planned for the life that is waiting for you.” This movie is all about that. See it.

That’s all for tonight. Thanks for watching. I am Russell D. Longcore. For all of us here at Dump D C: Good night and good luck.

Thanksgiving in FRONA?

Before you give sit down at your big feast today, take a look at this article from Thanksgiving Day 2011.

Before You Give Thanks Today

Now let’s talk about holidays in the Free Republic of North America (FRONA).

The big Fall harvest feast, otherwise known as Thanksgiving Day, has its roots in a Puritan celebration of harvest that began in the 1620s. And throughout America history, it has been celebrated on various dates. But it was enshrined as a national holiday by none other than US President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 by a presidential proclamation that Thanksgiving Day be observed on the final Thursday of November. His reason for embracing the official Thanksgiving Day was said to be an effort to create some kind of unity between the North and the South. At that time, the Confederate States of America not being all that keen on Lincolnian edicts, ignored the bastard. After Reconstruction, Thanksgiving Day was finally observed in the states of the former Confederacy also.

So, I’m thinking that the folks that populate FRONA will not be all that keen on continuing with American national holidays, and will have a desire to create their own national holidays. And the harvest festival may continue because it is so ingrained in our collective consciousness. But the FRONA government will not declare any day to be a national holiday simply because the FRONA national government will understand that its role is not to be the parent of the People. So I would submit that we citizens of FRONA come up with a fitting reason for giving thanks in the fall harvest season and designate a day for giving thanks to our Creator. And I also submit that the reason for a FRONA Thanksgiving is that we have seceded from the US Union and become a sovereign nation, and that FRONA stands entirely against the tyranny that smothers the rest of the world.

But let’s not confuse this holiday of gratefulness with our own Independence Day. We should also have a day of celebration that coincides with the day that we submitted an Ordinance of Secession to the other states of the Union and peacefully asserted our sovereignty as a nation once more. That should be the greater of the two holidays.

You can be properly grateful that you have a big “turkey day” and have spread a table of delicious food to be enjoyed by family and friends. But nothing else should eclipse celebrating the acts of men in which they take upon themselves their duty to throw off a government that has become an enemy of liberty and an engine of tyranny…to once again organize a government that “provides new guards for their future security.”

Happy American Thanksgiving Day, everyone.

Secession is the only hope for mankind to enjoy individual liberty and property rights in North America. Who will be first?

By Russell D. Longcore

Welcome to Flash Editorials for November 16, 2012. I am Russell D. Longcore, owner and editor of DumpDC. Flash Editorials is presented by w w w dot Dump D C dot com. DumpDC is the world leader in secessionist thought. We show the world that secession is the only hope for personal liberty and property rights on the planet.

Some of the stuff I’ve seen happen this week…you can’t make up. Weeellll, that’s actually not true. Fiction writers fill novels with this kind of crazy stuff all the time. You just don’t usually see these stupid human tricks play out in real life. As the Chinese saying goes…“May you live in interesting times.” Let’s go to the news.

The Nation I: This week, some resourceful folks planted a bunch of secession petitions in the WhiteHouse.org website, and people from all over the nation began electronically signing them. As of today, there are petitions filed for all 50 states, and there have been over 700,000 digital signatures filed. I wrote an article this week in which I stated that the petitions are entirely incorrect, and that this is not the way a state secedes…by begging the current administration for permission to leave the Union. A few people left comments here at DumpDC fussing at me for not being wildly in favor of the petitions. So here is my latest comment. In the public relations game, even when they are talking ugly about you, they are still talking about you. I am glad that the secession petitions raised awareness about secession here in America. I am glad that Sean Hannity interviewed TNM president Daniel Miller on Hannity’s show Tuesday night. The more that America hears the word “secession,” the more comfortable they will be with it. And because America heard about it on TV, that somehow lends credibility to the story and the concept. Secession is a long way from reality. No governor or state house in America will take up this topic in a serious manner until AFTER the economic collapse. Then they will deal with it out of self-preservation.

The Nation II: The CIA/Benghazi/Petraeus story got legs. Lots of legs. Girls all over the place. Two generals are now in trouble along with two Florida military brass groupies (who knew that generals had groupies?). Paula Broadwell, Petraeus’ principal squeeze, has been found to have classified data on her computer, although the source of the data has not yet been revealed. Most of us only know about the CIA from what THEY tell us about themselves, or what we see on fictional TV shows or movies like The Bourne Trilogy. So America in its ignorance THINKS that our intelligence community is the best in the world. But that is just public relations. Our spies seem to be bumbling idiots that can’t run an “op” (operation) right, even if it means their own skin. And when the guys at the top are the biggest security risks of all, you know that shyt rolls downhill into the organization. I don’t want to demean all the operators in the CIA. There are career guys and gals that care deeply about doing their jobs right. But don’t you forget this…Afghanistan’s poppy crop had been all but obliterated by the Taliban. Now the Afghanis supply 90% of the world’s heroin market. Who is running that op? The CIA. Why? One reason…off-budget cash cow that funds all kinds of CIA shenanigans. And the guys at the top are always political appointees who couldn’t spell “intelligence” before they got their cushy jobs. Case in point…Leon Panetta. Are you kidding? This guy never even sat on a House Intelligence committee when he was a Congressman. Then all of a sudden, he is qualified to be head of the CIA? Based on what? And now the guy is the Secretary of Defense? Based on what? The fact that he was a second lieutenant in the Army in 1964? Pulleeeze. The CIA is broken, and won’t be fixed by DC. It will be fascinating to see what trained monkey that Obama will nominate as the next CIA Director.

International I: Oil giant BP (British Petroleum) has agreed to pay the largest CRIMINAL penalty in the history of the world because of its responsibility for the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. BP is going to plead guilty to obstruction of justice for lying to Congress about how much oil was spewing into the Gulf waters. The amount of the fine is $4.5 Billion. Up to now, the largest corporate criminal penalty ever paid was paid by drugmaker Pfizer in the amount of $1.2 Billion. But don’t worry about BP, though. They made a net profit of $5.5 Billion….in the third quarter of this year.

Business II: A couple weeks back, I learned about a new business concept called “Social Commerce.” We all know about Social Networking and how big it has become. The use of websites like Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Pinterest and others has exploded in just a few short years. Remember, Facebook launched in 2004. So in eight years, it has become the giant it is now, with over 1 billion worldwide members.

“Social Commerce” is simply gaining access to the vast numbers of eyes looking at Social Networks for business purposes. Now, the traditional method of gaining that access is advertising. But advertising on social networks is not working out as well as expected. Facebook thought they were going to make a killing selling ads to business who wanted access to all those eyes. But Facebook’s stock price has gone from its IPO high of $38 to today’s price around $22.

Turns out that social network users don’t like ads any more than they do on TV. I want to see a show of hands. How many of you record TV shows…even sports events…to view later? And how many of you fast forward through the commercials? That’s what I thought. You ALL DO. So, how can a business take advantage of Social Networking?

Referrals. Networking. Word Of Mouth advertising…the most powerful and effective form of advertising in existence. And Word of Mouth advertising costs nothing. Think about this. You went to a movie you liked and you recommended it to friends. You ate a great meal at a restaurant and told your friends. That is Word Of Mouth advertising. But let me ask you this…did the theater or restaurant pay you any commission when your friends spent money there? Of Course Not!!

So how can you harness the power of Word Of Mouth advertising for your business? An even better question is…How can I start a business using Social Networking and turn in into Social Commerce?

That question leads me into tonight’s commercial message. Simply post messages and links and let your friends family and acquaintances look for themselves.

Think about this: Cell phone service is a life-essential service that nearly every person from age 10 to age 100 has.

Economy I: The number of actual initial unemployment claims filed under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 466,348 in the week ending November 10th. This is a whopping increase of 104,548 over the previous week and is attributable to Hurricane Sandy hitting the Northeast. Yet when I heard a news report of this story on Fox Business this morning at 8:40 am…just ten minutes after the Labor Department released their numbers…Fox reported the cooked numbers of the “4-week moving average” of “only” 383,750 as a positive trend for the economy. You may get tired of seeing this story every week, but every week the Labor Department LIES TO AMERICA. Friends, this week’s figures increased by over 100,000 in a single WEEK! That is a hundred thousand people MORE than the usual 380,000 WEEKLY NEW CLAIMS! If any economic stories concern you, this slow-moving train wreck should bother you a lot. When is YOUR JOB going to be threatened? Do you have a Plan B just in case?

In Sports: The Atlanta Falcons lost to the Saints last Sunday so their record is now 7-1. Still pretty great. Just 3-4 years ago, the Falcons led the NFL in rushing yards gained. This year, they don’t seem to be able to move the ball on the ground. Can’t win games without a ground game. Time will tell. Other than that, nothing much to talk about in Sports this week.

Sports Part II: Anytime you get a chance to watch college football, watch the SEC games. The SEC is the number one college conference for rookie NFL players. And any SEC team can beat any other SEC team on any given Saturday. Top to bottom, the SEC is the best college football in America.

Finally, in Entertainment: Actor Channing Tatum has been named “Sexiest Man Alive 2012 ” by People Magazine. First thing I did when learning this is look at Wikipedia about the guy. I figured no way that Channing Tatum is his real name…sounds made up. My bad. It’s just a very Southern name. He’s a Mississippi boy and his daddy’s name is Glenn Tatum. But have you seen this kid? He’s mighty pretty. Hope he doesn’t get all paunchy and rotund like me later in life. I was pretty once, too. See? That’s me in my wrestling pose as a high school senior. Cute, huh?

That’s all for tonight. Thanks for watching. I am Russell D. Longcore. For all of us here at DumpDC: Good night and good luck.

Two Choices: Own A Business Or Be A Wage Slave

By Russell D. Longcore

I think there are a couple of conclusions we can glean from the national elections just concluded. First is that a billion dollars got spent on campaigns and nothing changed. Mr. Obama is still in the White House. The Democrats still control the Senate. The Republicans still control the House of Representatives.

Second…the business community still controls them all.

Wage-earners have almost no deductions available to them. And in the next four years, the Obama Administration and Congress are coming for many of your deductions in a desperate attempt to steal more revenue from ALL Americans.

For most people, there is no expense in their working lifetimes greater than the amount of various taxes they pay. So, tax planning and tax preparation can have the greatest effect on your income. Just a few hours of effective tax planning can put tens of thousands of dollars back into your bank accounts. Over a lifetime, that could translate into hundreds of thousands…even millions. It could also mean the difference between the constant struggle of monthly income shortages versus living a lifestyle you enjoy.

Government is supposed to protect individual liberty and property rights. Today’s government does little or none of either. Washington DC is a massive spoils system. The best benefits go to those who have the best lobbyists and lawyers.

Taxation was supposed to be a means whereby revenue was collected to pay for the activities of the government. But over time, the tax code became a system of rewards and penalties, and ways for businesses to cock-block their competition.

The IRS code is a hopelessly broken tax system that, over the centuries, was written by business for business. The IRS code favors businesses. There are hundreds of tax breaks, tax credits, tax deductions, tax deferments, tax incentives, etc…designed specifically for business. And I don’t mean just mega-corporations.

Even the smallest part-time, home-based business enjoys tax benefits that the employee wager-earner will never get. Here is a list of only a few benefits a home-based business enjoys:

• Deduct a portion of your property taxes.
• Deduct a portion of your mortgage payment.
• Deduct a portion of your mortgage interest.
• Deduct a portion of your utilities.
• Deduct a portion of business lunches.
• Deduct mileage on your car incurred in business.
• Deduct a portion of your car payment.
• Deduct a portion of your car maintenance expenses.
• Deduct promotional expenses for your business.
• Deduct all or part of your phone bills.
• Deduct insurance premiums for auto, home, health, life, business.
• Deduct travel expenses for business purposes.
• Deduct business gifts.
• Your clothing might be deductible.
• Deduct expenses for equipment like computers, software, supplies etc.
• Deduct expenses for ongoing training.
• Deduct expenses for tax preparation.
• Deduct expenses for legal representation.
• Deduct office furniture.
• Vehicles are deductible in certain instances, and you can depreciate them.
• Deduct depreciation on all the rest of your business equipment.
• Set up a personal retirement plan and put away much more than an IRA allows.
• Hire your kids and shield income from taxation and Social Security payments.
• Deduct rent or lease payments for equipment and/or real property.

That is only a partial list, friends. And the IRS code does not say you have to make a profit. You can even deduct your losses in some cases.

So…what should you do? Should you fall into the resentment fomented by the Mainstream Media of the 97% against the 3%? That keeps you broke and it will not change the system. It certainly won’t change your financial outcomes.

The old saying still goes…“If you can’t beat ‘em, JOIN ‘EM!”

Many people dream of firing their boss and starting a business. But if you have not ever owned a business before, there is a steep learning curve. That is why some folks choose a franchise because training is included. Remember…you had to get trained when you started your job, didn’t you? You must get training to become a business owner. Few of the characteristics that make a good employee translate to being a good business owner. That is why starting a business from the comfort of your home on a part-time basis makes the most sense. This gives you time to learn and grow and make the transition from follower to leader. Still, the business that you choose can make you or BREAK you.

Only one out of five small businesses that make it to their fifth anniversary are still in business. That means that 80% of new businesses FAIL in the first five years. That failure means losing money, investments vanishing, financial pressure, stress and the shame you feel from a failure in business. And if you choose the wrong kind of business, you could lose your business through no fault of your own if your marketplace dries up or the economy slows down.

So the business you choose for your home-based business is a crucial decision for your future and the future of your family. If your new business is successful, you can change your destiny and your family’s destiny for the better. Better schools for the kids, college educations, nicer homes, nicer cars, better vacations, more charitable giving. Choose unwisely and fail in business, and you will still change your destiny. Only it won’t be for the better.

The three most important things for your business are:

1. Choose a highly consumable, life-essential product or service. First let’s talk about the “highly consumable” part. Would you rather sell a product that people use every day, or a product that they seldom have to buy? Think about the difference between a business that sells electricity and a business that sells cars or caskets. Now what about the “life-essential” part? Think about the difference between selling mobile phone service versus selling bowling balls and accessories. You cannot go a day without your phone, but you could go a lifetime without bowling.
2. Have a large, growing, inelastic market demand. A large market demand needs no explanation. But you also need a growing market. Selling pagers 20 years ago was hot. But try even finding pagers today. Don’t put your business on the tail end of a trend. And what about that word “inelastic?” It means you want your business to be steady, and not affected by boom and bust cycles. Ask homebuilders or realtors about what happens to their incomes when a boom ends.
3. Duplicatable. If you have a home-based business that relies upon your efforts, then any vacation you take, or illness you have, costs you money. You can hire people in your business, but having employees brings its own set of problems. Think about what happens to a real estate broker. He hires new people, trains them, helps them be successful. But after a while, his new people want to be brokers, just like he is. When they do become brokers, they become his competition THAT HE TRAINED. The best solution is to have associates that work with you that have the same business opportunity that you have. Then when they are successful, you still make money. This is commonly referred to as “Network Marketing.”

Those three characteristics in a home-based business are really hard to find. But they do exist!

There are two videos directly below that I offer to you. The first video talks about my Energy business. The second video talks about my other product in Social Commerce. Please look at both of them.

Then ask yourself… “Who Wouldn’t Want a Home Based Business Like This?”

Social Commerce Video

Choose one, or choose both. Then come join us!

In closing, remember this:

Your are either working for your own dreams or you are working for someone else’s dream.

Welcome to Flash Editorials for November 2, 2012. I am Russell D. Longcore, owner and editor of DumpDC. Flash Editorials is presented by http://www.DumpDC.com. DumpDC is the world leader in secessionist thought. We show the world that secession is the only hope for personal liberty and property rights on the planet.

video

This past week has been one for the record books. Something MAJOR happened on Tuesday. The daily traffic I get now at DumpDC.com is five times what it was on Monday. I wonder what could have caused that??? Let’s go to the news!

By the way, I use cuss words in this video. So if cuss words offend you, don’t watch this video. You’ve been warned.

The Nation I: Mr. Obama won. Deal with it.

Why did Barry win? Simple. The Republicans made a mildly convincing argument that America should fire Mr. Obama. The Republicans did not make a convincing argument that America should hire Mitt Romney.

Karl Rove actually said: “The October surprise was an act of God. Hurricane Sandy interrupted Mr. Romney’s momentum.” So what he must be saying is that God wanted Obama to win.

I wrote a brilliant analysis of the election and posted it on Thursday. You can just scroll down from here and read it. But, if you were educated in government schools and mostly get your information from TV, I will take a moment or two and spoon feed you. Open wide…….

No one in America has fronted the ridiculous notion that Mitt was the best man that the Republicans could find to be the presidential candidate. He just outspent and outlasted the others. And his campaign staff, in league with the Republican National Committee, blackballed Ron Paul.

No one in America has fronted the ridiculous notion that Americans rejected Mitt as president because they rejected his core beliefs. That is because nobody knows what Romney’s core beliefs are. He was the Chameleon Candidate. Reminded me of the 80s hit record “My Obsession” by Animotion. In the chorus, the singer sings, “you’re an obsession, you’re my obsession…who do you want me to be to make you sleep with me?”

Mitt would be anything you needed to get elected. Remember he ran for Senate against Teddy Kennedy in 1994 and got clubbed. He’s been doing anything he can to get elected to some office for 18 years. He got the Massachusetts governorship in 2002, only serving one term. That was enough to enhance a resume.

Think about the HUGE thing that Romney AVOIDED in his campaign… Obamacare. If he had solemnly vowed to abolish Obamacare as President, he probably would have won. Senior citizens nationwide are scared of getting their benefits cut under Obamacare. Even though he invented Romneycare in Massachusetts, he could have made a convincing case that what works on a state level does not translate to 315 million people…especially when Washington runs it. Or, if his ego wasn’t so enormous, he could have repudiated it entirely.

Think about Mr. Obama’s own words about his “one-term” presidency. Mitt should have beat Barry about the head and shoulders with that for months. But nary a word was heard. I never saw one clip of that video.

Think about the debates. Romney pulled his punches over and over, refusing to go for the jugular on issues like the Benghazi Embassy deaths or the unemployment rate…or even simple things like the price of a gallon of gasoline.

In Texas Hold-’em parlance…Mitt was not “all in.” He was not willing to get some blood on his hands, so to speak.

And American politics is a blood sport. Republicans are not willing to play rough. In NASCAR there is a saying…”Rubbin’ is Racin’.” A NASCAR driver has to be willing to swap a little paint with other cars or he will not win. But Republicans are not willing to get mean or use a little saucy language. They are not willing to get up in somebody’s face and raise their voices. Give me a candidate who would tell a reporter to “fuck off’ when he asked a stupid question. Republicans are too Goddamn afraid of what the media will say about them. A week ago, the media was all a-twitter because Obama used the word “bullshitter.” Not that they were critical, mind you. Romney would have never used that word ‘cause he is scared. Give me a candidate that would use some four-letter words in a speech. And give me a candidate who can speak without a teleprompter…a candidate who had such deeply-ingrained core beliefs that he could defend them on the fly. Ron Paul didn’t need a damned teleprompter. He spoke from his heart, which is where his core beliefs are.

Democrats are always willing to get down in the mud and mix it up. I’m not saying it’s right…just saying that if you know that the rules of the game are that there really are no rules, the one who wants it most usually wins. Barry was fighting for his political legacy and his place in history. Mitt Romney was running to enhance his resume. Who wanted it most? I leave it to you.

But also keep in mind that Romney is the guy that got beat by McCain who got beat by Obama in 2008. He got the Nominee Runner-up trophy in 2008. This year, he gets the Miss Congeniality tiara. Romney is only the best that the oligarchy could find to do their bidding. It is over for Mr. Romney and his quest for the White House.

Did you watch “The Matrix”? Neo was “The One.” Apparently, Mitt is not The One.

The big joke is that The One doesn’t exist. Obama is not The One. He is merely “A Current One. “

Both men are textbook Sociopaths.

So, what are you going to do over the next four years? You may not be happy, but are you going to just bitch about it, or are you going to take control of your own life? Don’t you think that NOW is a good time to seriously consider secession?

The Nation II: My friends at the Texas Nationalist Movement tell me that their website traffic….at TexasNationalist.com…and memberships have exploded since Tuesday. Some of the major talk radio stations have interviewed TNM president Daniel Miller about secession. I saw one online survey at KYFO 790 am in Lubbock that 88.73% of respondents are in favor of secession. The question they asked was…”Should Texas Secede?” That’s all. Three words. I love Texas.

By the way, I will be on the radio with Susan Payne from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on WJCN, 1360am in Philadelphia on Monday the 12th discussing secession. Tune in or stream the broadcast live.

The Nation III: CIA Director and former Brigadier General David Petraus has resigned as CIA Director, citing getting caught in an extramarital affair. Curious to me that this comes out only AFTER the election is over. This is the CIA. They’re spies. Anybody want to try to convince me that this was not known about before Tuesday? Next question that comes to mind is: Was he “outed” to get rid of him after the Benghazi Embassy incident, and allowed to resign with some modicum of dignity? Watch this story folks. It will last about three weeks and then die.

The Nation IV: Let’s revisit Tropical Storm Sandy. I’m kind of surprised that DC did not try to postpone the elections on Tuesday. But nothing came of all the rumors about martial law and election postponement. Maybe we give the dickheads in DC more credit than they deserve.

International I: The words “renounce citizenship” are now the fastest growing search terms at Google.com. Curiously, Google’s own analytics say that the searches came from such places as Washington state, California, Texas, Georgia, Florida and most of the states of the Eastern Seaboard. Folks, I have been telling you and I’m telling you now. Your choices for liberty are (a) move to a state where secession will likely occur, or (b) escape from America and expatriate. And to do nothing but bitch and do Google searches is also a choice.

Business: A couple weeks back, I learned about a new business concept called “Social Commerce.” We all know about Social Networking and how big it has become. The use of websites like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Pinterest and others has exploded in just a few short years.

But Facebook’s stock price has gone from its IPO high of $38 to today’s price around $19.

So how can you harness the power of Word Of Mouth advertising for your business? An even better question is…How can I start a business using Social Networking and turn in into Social Commerce?

That question leads me into tonight’s commercial message. Simply post messages and links and let your friends family and acquaintances look for themselves. If they like what they see and make a purchase, you get paid!!

Economy I: The number of actual initial unemployment claims filed under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 355,406 in the week ending November 3rd. This is an increase of 14,489 from the previous week. In the same press release, the Labor Department “seasonally adjusted” the number to show that it was 8,000 lower than last week. At least in this case, the lies are published for all to see. And the mainstream media publishes the lies the government gives them, not the actual number shown just ONE PARAGRAPH below the lies.

Sports Part I: The Atlanta Falcons have a 8-0 record in the National Football League. They did not look sharp last Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys, but they still won. Ugly wins still count. This Sunday they take on the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome in “nawlins”. My wife and I were in the city for Mardi Gras this year. Nothing like New Orleans. Quick story. Julie and I were sitting in a seedy bar about a block off Bourbon Street one rainy afternoon and we engaged in conversation a long, lovely young lady sitting next to Julie. She handed her business card to Julie and invited BOTH of us to come to the “gentlemen’s club” that night were she would be workin’ the pole as a dancer. Sometimes my real life exceeds my fantasy life.

Finally, in Entertainment: Not a damned thing worth talking about happened in entertainment this week, but a couple headlines caught my eye. First, Shakespeare specialist Kenneth Branaugh was knighted by Queen Elizabeth this week. And most important of all…The Firefly series celebrates its 10th anniversary this weekend with a Firefly marathon on Sunday on The Science Channel on your cable or satellite provider. Awesome….

That’s all for tonight. Thanks for watching. I am Russell D. Longcore. For all of us here at Dump DC: Good night and good luck.

Happy About The Election Results?

I am happy…but not for any reason you may think. Happiness depends upon your perspective and ultimate goals. Cause and effect issues here. If an unexpected event causes other events to happen that move you toward your ultimate goals, it’s good. More later.

Mr. Obama will be with us for another four years. Deal with it.

The Republican Party allowed Willard “Mitt” Romney to buy his way onto the Presidential ticket. And that is as it should be. As 20th Century humorist Will Rogers said:

“We have the best politicians money can buy.”
“The short memory of voters is what keeps our politicians in office.”
“Be thankful we’re not getting all the government we’re paying for.”

CONGRESS has made the rules whereby campaigns are run nowadays. Therefore, when smart guys figure out how to game the system, they should do it. Mitt is a smart guy.

Democrats are always willing to get down in the mud and mix it up. I’m not saying it’s right…just saying that if you know that the rules of the game are that there really are no rules, the one who wants it most usually wins. In military operations, there is a strategy known as the “OODA loop.” It is one of those famous military acronyms like AWOL, FUBAR and SNAFU (Google them). OODA is Observe, Orient, Decide and Act.

Let us Observe:

• The collapse of the American Dollar the American economy, and subsequently the collapse of the world economic system that is built upon the Dollar, will continue apace. But the pace might quicken. I do not think that Romney would have slowed it, even though he said he would. But it will certainly move ahead now.
• Washington will continue to devour privacy and individual liberties a bite at a time. Or, now that Obama has nothing to lose, the bites might get bigger.
• The Federal Reserve will continue with QEIII in their clueless desperation, intending to kick the can down the road just a little farther on the calendar.
• The Eurozone will continue its slow-motion collapse.
• Washington will continue to foment a shooting war in the Middle East.
• China will continue to very quietly produce and buy gold now that they have the world’s largest gold reserves.
• China will continue to very quietly go around the world and negotiate shrewd trade deals with other nations.
• China, Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa will continue to work toward a new world reserve currency, with China’s money as lead dog.
• China will continue to offer financing to those other nations in the renminbi, their currency. The other nations will gladly accept it.
• When the American economy collapses, and hyperinflation rages, there will be widespread chaos and blood in the streets of most cities.

Then comes Orient:

Orientation usually is done based upon our cultural traditions and experiences… our preconceptions and world view. Orientation is the pair of glasses we wear and through which we see our world. Only this time, very little of our old world view will be true any more. Orientation will have been stood on its head. We must develop a new, functional world view seemingly overnight. Most will not be up to the task. Compare this to the Pentagon. They are still fighting the last big war. But warfare has gone into its Fourth Generation orientation. The days of carriers, battleships and submarines are past. They are stuck in the Third Generation.

Secession serves as a perfect new world view…if you can call it “new.”

Next is Decide:

The best player in an OODA loop moves at a faster tempo than his adversaries, thereby getting into their OODA loop and f**king it up. It creates confusion and a perception of unpredictability about the best player. It also fits perfectly in the strategies proffered by Sun Tzu in the legendary book The Art of War.

Once you see the inevitable progression of events that is going to happen, and come to realize that Secession is the only way to restore individual liberty and property rights to North America, a decision should be made whether or not to participate. Here is a thought…at some point, crossing the Mississippi River westbound may be a problem. You might want to do that before TSHTF. Thought 2: if you want to expatriate, you might want to do that before TSHTF.

Finally, Action.

Action involves testing what works and what doesn’t. Once you act, you begin the OODA loop all over again. Secession action might be moving your family to a secession-friendly state and getting involved in a secessionist group. Expatriation takes a little more planning.

Think. Use your brain. Do not let anyone tell you how to think. Question ALL authority. Free Your Mind.

Secession is the only hope for humanity. Who will be first?

A Surrender of Sorts

Relaxing in the Handbasket

By Fred Reed

We are doomed, saith the preacher, and should accommodate ourselves to it. In times of growing governmental power, protestation at some point becomes futile. Little is served by standing in front of a charging Mongol army and shouting, “No! You should reconsider!

Perhaps some other course would be advisable. Let’s parley….”
Complaint is useless. It is too late. It booteth not. We are done. The Mongols ride. America comes apart at the seams. The country turns into something altogether new, new for America.

In high school, I read Shirer, first Berlin Diary and then The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. I had little idea what I was reading. A naval base in rural Virginia is not a hotbed of historical understanding, or any understanding. I knew nothing of Weimar or the Spartacists or the Treaty of Versailles. Still, I dimly grasped that a theretofore civilized country with great rapidity turned into something horrible. It was not an evolutionary change, like the Industrial Revolution. Brahms to Goebbels in a decade.

Something alike happens in America, and one wonders—I wonder, anyway—how can this be? In little more than a decade, the Constitution has died, the economy welters in irreversible decline, we have perpetual war, all power lies in the hands of the executive, the police are supreme, and a surveillance beyond Orwell’s imaginings falls into place.

These observations are now commonplace. It is almost boring to read of them—yet they proceed apace. Where we go, we go fast. Already against the authorities there is no recourse. Should you talk back to the police, you will spend the night in jail.

I sometimes wonder whether there is not some malign force in play, some diabolical miasma with a sense of humor that, having brought the Soviet Union down, amuses itself by turning the United States into the same thing. Or maybe it is just that if any state that can become totalitarian, it will.

Or maybe it was just a chance simultaneity of enabling events.

Communism died in China and thus ceased to protect America from the withering competition of a populous, intelligent, and industrious race. The internet and easy transportation allowed American companies to abandon ship and head for cheaper climes. They did. Huge countries unexpectedly began a meteoric rise (if meteors rise), chiefly the BRICs. Big once-American corporations became free-floating transnational beings, loyal only to themselves. Open an apparently American laptop and you find that the screen and memory come from Korea, the hard drive from Malaya, the CPU from an Intel lab in Ireland, the whole thing assembled in Taiwan. America cannot stanch the bleeding.

Corporations rule the country, and go whither they will.

Have you ever thrown a stick for a dog, which loves to chase it but, when he comes back with it, cannot bring himself to give it to you to throw again, although that is what he wants? The United States cannot let go of its empire. It fights war after war, constantly losing, bleeding money it doesn’t have, because—because it can’t let go. The military itself, an upgraded WWII force, badly unsuited to modern war, cannot let go of its glorious carriers and obsolescent combat aircraft. Governments too can suffer from arteriosclerosis.

And now the Pentagon growls fiercely at China, like an aging terrier at a Rottweiler pup. The world changes. Minds do not. Some minds do not.

Domestically, the storm likewise approaches. Desperation encourages desperate measures, a hard line, and invites the notorious Man on a Horse.

Economically, the country has trapped itself. It is bankrupt in all but admission, but it cannot spend more prudently. If it cuts welfare in the cities, riots will ensure and elections will be lost. If it cuts the bloated federal bureaucracy, a form of welfare, the dismissed will add to an already dangerously high number of the unemployed. And elections will be lost.

Cut the military? It and its parasitic industries are so large, so deeply embedded in the fabric of the country, so rife with influential people with families to feed, that reductions are not possible. The suggestion of even minor and usually fraudulent cuts is greeted by predictions of dire but unspecified consequences. Minor cuts are not what are needed.

The dog cannot let go.

It is said that democracy depends on an informed public. This is to say that democracy is impossible. In the American case, blank ignorance of anything outside the borders leaves people easily manipulated. The genius of the American political system is that it is not necessary to suppress inconvenient information, but only to keep it off television. So few people will encounter it as not to matter.

Giving people the choice between Candidate A and Candidate A, neither of whom addresses the real problems of the nation, is to grant them the influence they would have had in the Habsburg Empire.

But it keeps them quiet.

It would be interesting to ask the general public: “Which of the following Arab countries is suspected of trying to develop nuclear weapons? (1) Turkey (2) Pakistan (3) Iran (4) Afghanistan (5) None of the above.”

Nonsense is ever a firm basis for politics. The American public believes itself to be free, to have a spirit of rugged individualism, to live in a democracy admired by the world. In fact Americans are not particularly free and becoming less so by the minute, are not individualists but herd consumers formed by a controlled press, and do not live in a democracy.

And totalitarianism comes. This is no longer the assertion of those dropped on their heads as children. Daily we read of more weaponry for the police, more surveillance authorized by courts, more unlegislated powers for Homeland Security. Currency controls fall into place to prevent people from fleeing the country with their assets.

In this direction, I think, lies the future. It is perfectly possible to store every email sent, every purchase made except by cash, every withdrawal of cash; to institute airport-style “security” for trains and buses; to monitor any conversation by telephone; automatically to track cell phones and read license plates and store it all. We are close. We are very close.

Protesting is pointless. No governmental mechanism prevents the headlong progress of things that would have sickened Thomas Jefferson. In the presidential debates neither Candidate A nor Candidate A has said, so far as I know, a word about the tightening watchfulness.

The only reasonable approach is to lie down and enjoy it. Which I shall do.

(This is an update of an article I wrote in 2009.)

There exists in America an organization that could easily challenge Washington for money…for allegiance…for dominance of human thought and human action. Through that organization, the widows and orphans would be cared for, the hungry fed, and the needy assisted. Further, the devotees to this organization would en masse refuse to enter the national military service. And that organization would evaluate every Federal law and regulation to see if those laws and regulations should be obeyed, simply ignored or purposefully violated.

What is that organization that could wield such awesome power and influence?

The Church.

The Church should be the worst enemy of the State. When I use the term “the church,” I mean nearly all organized religion. Most religions don’t espouse state worship in their sacred writings and doctrines.

When I use the term, “the State,” I mean all forms of human government, across the spectrum from anarchy to totalitarianism.

In Islamic countries, Islam sometimes IS the state. Nations like Saudi Arabia and Iran are run by Muslim mullahs, and sharia law is used. Nations like Egypt, Pakistan and Morocco have governments influenced by sharia law, but still adhere to the rule of secular law. Some Islamic nations have declared themselves to be secular, and religious interference in governance is prohibited.

For today’s discussion, I’m going to concentrate on the Judeo-Christian traditions, which are the foundations of Western Civilization. So, because Judaism and Christianity are found in worship of the same God, these faiths will be held to the same standard as it relates to their relationship to the State.

The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is about the Kingdom of God and Liberty. He merely tolerates mankind’s feeble attempts at governing. That’s probably why he is called King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

But if you look at history over the last 5,000 years, you will see repeated oppression of religion by the State. The State has always seen the church as direct competition for money, power and control over people. So, in order to escape persecution by the State, the church has made increasingly servile efforts to assuage the hostility of the State. The church has given its blessings to the most base, vile and tyrannical acts of the State in order to curry favor and the State’s blessing.

Why?

Think of it this way. If the schoolyard bully regularly beats you up for the funny clothes you wear, and you want the beatings to stop, you will either fight back or change clothes. If you want to go even further, and enjoy the acceptance of the bully, you will have to join the bully in some of his actions. Perhaps you’ll have to learn how to be a bully, too.

But, by learning and approving of the ways of the bully, the bully comes to understand that you are no longer a threat to him. Then you might enjoy an uneasy peace.

Israel began its descent into state worship when, around 1047BC they decided they needed a king like their neighbors. God told Samuel to tell them what a king would do to them in I Samuel 8:11-18:

11: This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.

12: And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.

13: And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.

14: And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.

15: And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.

16: And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.

17: He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.

18: And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.

Even when the prophet Samuel told them what a monarchy would do to them, they turned their back on God. So they got King Saul and a string of good and bad kings from then on. Even after their experiences of evil kings split the nation into Israel and Judah, both sides couldn’t give up on the idea of having kings rule over them.

It never got any better.

The Christian church solidified its state worship during the reign of Emperor Constantine in the 4th Century and has been increasingly worshipping the State in all its forms over the past 1,700 years. Kings, despots, tyrants and republics all felt the fawning love of the church.

The Catholic Church alternately fought and blessed the monarchies of Western Civilization for that 1,700 years, and still does so today. I’m not picking on the Catholics here, because the Catholic Church was synonymous with “Christendom” until just recently in history. They learned how to share power and money with the State. And when the Reformation swept across Europe, the new Reformers also licked the boots of the governments in power.

I hear all the comments from evangelicals about the government being ordained by God, and that Christians should obey the State. They usually refer to Romans Chapter 13 as their source. But I don’t find anything in the Bible that tells Christians to obey a State that is violating God’s Word. I do find verses like Acts 5:29: “…we should obey God rather than men.” These words were said by the Apostle Peter after the priests threw the apostles into prison for spreading the Good News.

Today’s Church is a willing accomplice of government in its ungodliness. Further, today’s Church helps keep its own membership subservient to the State through its teachings. This is exactly opposite of the mission on earth that the Church should be fulfilling.

To be true to the message of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, churches and synagogues would teach allegiance to only God, and to no other. They would reject the approval of the State and call the faithful into open rebellion against the State’s ungodly actions.

If churches and synagogues were doing their job, they would preach themes like this Top 10.5 Sermon Topics List:

1. The overarching premise that if an action is a sin and a crime for an individual, it is still a sin and a crime for a group of individuals. Political organization by no means affords immunity from sins and crimes committed.

2. Taxation as presently practiced by the State is theft by other means (thou shalt not steal) and is a combination of force and fraud.

3. Central banking is the method whereby the State steals the value of the money from the citizens through fractional reserve banking and fiat money. This also violates the Commandment “thou shalt not steal.” Fiat money violates Proverbs 11:1 – “A false balance is abomination to the Lord; But a just weight is his delight.” (Dollars actually supposed to be a weight of silver.) The Church could even go as far as creating an alternative money based in gold and silver to circumvent the use of the Federal Reserve notes.

4. Murder violates a biblical Commandment (thou shalt not kill) and is a crime, and is no less a crime when you wear a military uniform. The taking of a life in defense of life or property is not murder.

5. Military service: No person of faith should ever serve in the State’s military. Serving in the military of the State is to accept the State as a sovereign higher than God (thou shalt have no other gods before me). Serving in the military of the State forces the person of faith to have to decide to obey an unbiblical order or obey God’s Word.

6. Government commits crimes against its citizens every day through the laws it passes and enforces. The Church decides which will be obeyed and which will be ignored.

7. Pledging allegiance to the flag of the State is to place God in a subordinate position to the State (thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image…thou shalt not bow down to them, nor serve them)

8. When a church uses the corporate laws of the State as its chosen legal entity, it becomes subservient to that State.

9. The acceptance of the tax exempt status places the church subservient to the State, and is an abridgement of freedom, simultaneously giving up many of its God-given rights.

10. Vices, which may be sins, should not be made crimes.

10.5 Invading another sovereign nation is breaking the Tenth Commandment, “thou shalt not covet.” Any war other than a defensive war on your own soil violates God’s Word.

What does today’s obsequious, lickspittle Church teach the faithful? Here is the Top 10.5 List of Approved Government Themes:

1. Government service is honorable.
2. The Bible tells us to obey the government in Romans chapter 13.
3. Military service is honorable no matter what despicable acts are done. Soldiers are heroes that deserve to be supported no matter where they are deployed or what acts they commit.
4. Voting is your civic duty.
5. The US flag is always flown or displayed superior to all other flags. (but you’re not supposed to notice that this places God inferior to the State.)
6. Abortion is not all that big of a deal, and a woman should have the freedom to “choose.” Abortion is certainly not a big enough deal to openly rebel against the government.
7. Politics and political issues should not be discussed from the pulpits, for fear of losing the church’s tax-exempt status.
8. Pay your taxes obediently, even if the taxes are used to fund actions that violate God’s Word.
9. The United States is the greatest nation in history, and we celebrate Memorial Day and Independence Day by singing patriotic songs and honoring past and present military members.
10. There is a separation of church and state in the Constitution.
10.5 Most importantly, pay your tithes and pledges to the church so the church can continue to reinforce state worship.

The Church, properly fulfilling its mission on earth, would be as radical as Islam. But don’t look for that to happen. For The Church, the book of Exodus contains The Ten Suggestions. The Church has been the State’s toady for over 1,700 years. I rather doubt it will find its backbone any time soon.

In closing, think about how radically different our communities and our nation would be if these simple yet powerful principles had been taught from the pulpits over the past couple hundred years. I dare say that our states might more closely resemble the confederation of sovereign States found in 1776. The People, in whom are found the powers delegated and undelegated to government, would be the masters of government, rather than its slaves.

Secession is the only hope for mankind to enjoy individual liberty and property rights in North America.
